Prospective students

The school has a community of over 1100 students and 100 staff based on the Moulsecoomb campus in Brighton. The university recruits students from over 100 countries and this is reflected in the school's population.

We are proud of our consistently strong teaching record and work based learning approach in library and information studies, mathematics, media and communication and computing.

The University of Brighton has one of the best teaching quality records in the UK with high subject scores (20+) across all subject areas. We have been voted within the top 20 universities to study computing and mathematics by the Guardian in 2005 and 2006, respectively.

Professional relevance

We develop courses in close consultation with industry and professional bodies to ensure that our graduates have the range of skills employers are looking for. Many include professional accreditations or exemptions from professional skills. Work placements are an intrinsic part of many courses and provide further chances to develop skills and make industry contacts.

You can also use the Aldrich library, media centre, computer store, studentcentral and sports facilities.

Students on the Broadcast Media FdA at Hastings can use the new broadcast media suite.

Location

You'll find yourself in one of the liveliest and sunniest parts of the UK. There are many sides to Brighton and something for everyone from arts, culture, sport, clubbing, the outdoors and shopping. Put simply it is a great place to be a student.
