The building will provide specialist facilities for the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences and includes a green roof and solar panels. It will house the university's largest lecture theatre with a seating capacity for over 300 people and will span nine floors across two buildings, incorporating a student communal study area and multipurpose seminar rooms with moveable walls, as well as teaching rooms and laboratories.
